The Glass Castle- Jeanette Wells

I usually don't like memoirs. It's either a miss or hit with me. I just heard so much about this book at work and through friends on goodreads. It was at the library and available so I brought it home. I read it pretty quickly yesterday. I have to say that I can't decide if I like this book or love it. I go back and forth.
Okay, maybe I will still with really liking it. This is a great story for many reasons. It will make you angry for sure. It's the type of book that makes you angry for the fact not everyone should have children. You feel so bad for these kids and there's nothing you can do! To make it worse, it's true. You know this happens all the time, all over the world, but it's one of those things you don't think too much about, until you read this book. The life these parents make their children live is just down right despicable! They were horribly selfish and made every wrong decision in the book. How most of them grew up to have jobs and live a normal life, I'll never know.
It's a great book and it will grip you from the start. You wont be able to put it down because you just have to know there's a light at the end of this horrible road for these kids. This book will make you appreciate and love your parents more than you already do.
