I won this book from a Goodreads, First-Reads Giveaway. It was the second book in a series, which for some reason I didn't realize when I entered the drawing. The good thing is that a lot of books these days like to do little summaries about big events from the previous book. So I wasn't lost and just got caught up in the story. It's paranormal YA book. The good thing is that a lot of books these days like to do little summaries about big events from the previous book. So I wasn't lost and just got caught up in the story. It's paranormal YA book. Basically, Lela is a Guard of the shadowlands, which means she has to protect the people on earth from the Mazikin (Kinda like bodysnatchers). So this story is about her fight to keep them from infesting the world and her relationship with her Guard. It was really interesting and I love a main lead who can kick butt on her own. She is the leader and she can take care of her self and the ones around her. I can't wait to see how this continues in the next book!
