4.5 stars I liked this book more than the first. Mostly, because there is such character development with not only the main characters, but all of the characters! I was so impressed with the details and the way Howard can make a scene come alive with her writing. She can describe everything with such detail that you can picture it clearly in your head, without it becoming boring. Again, I found myself so caught up in the story that it was so hard to find a stopping point each time. There are so...more 4.5 stars I liked this book more than the first. Again, I found myself so caught up in the story that it was so hard to find a stopping point each time. There are so many twists and turns that you just have to know what is going to happen next. There is so much more history of Alyssa and her family that comes to light. It makes you understand everything that happens in the first book much more clearly. Especially, the real reason her mom wanted nothing to do with Wonderland and kept her distance. Morpheus. What can I say? His character is so complex and mysterious. He manipulates everyone and everything for his own selfish reasons. Once you realize what the reason is though, you completely understand. No matter what he does, he always finds a way to combat the bad thing he has just done or said. It makes it really hard to not like him. The Cliff Hanger was pretty awesome. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book after that. I don't think she could have done it any better! |
